Bocca chiusa is Italian for "mouth closed." No, I don't speak Italian, but I sing - primarily choral music - and "a bocca chiusa" or b. ch. is the notation when one is to sing with his/her mouth closed (that is hum). This blog will contain mainly posts about upcoming concerts and events, so if you want to read about my rather sedate life, head here.

I am a composer living in Kansas City, MO. My wife and I have a house, jobs and 'way too many cats. And twins have arrived, as of 6 March 2006. I am currently completing a DMA in Composition and a MM in Music History at UMKC. All at once. I used to play the clarinet and saxophone pretty regularly, and for a time played in the Colorblind James Experience, the Hotheads and the Whitman/McIntire Duo.

The body may be still, but the mind goes where it will. This podcast will feature ramblings, musings, pop culture observations and just when you get sick of hearing the host drone on and on (and on and on...), a refreshing blast of podsafe music.
